Power of Choice and Self-Determinism by L. Ron Hubbard
It was Autumn 1955, a year that had already seen spectacular achievements starting with the founding of the Church of Scientology in Auckland, New Zealand, followed by the establishment of the Founding Church of Scientology of Washington, DC and the delivery of the legendary first international congress held in Washington—the Anatomy of the Spirit of Man and these were but a few of the highlights.
With this whirlwind of Scientology expansion, England soon became the focal point with L. Ron Hubbard's arrival to London. Not only did Ron start delivery of the 4th London Advanced Clinical Course, instructing the students and lecturing 5 to 7 hours a day in addition to all else, he was soon giving a series of Saturday afternoon public lectures at the new Lindsey Theatre in London. The response was so overwhelming that not only was the entire theatre filled beyond capacity, with standing room only, remote speakers were employed in the next-door Brunswick House—home to the London Scientology organization—to service the crowds who came for answers to a brighter life.
And so it was on 29 October, 1955, Ron took the stage of that packed Lindsey Theatre to deliver a lecture which will always stand among the classics of the LRH Library—a lecture with the real answers to regaining Power of Choice & Self-determinism.
