Scientology and Ability by L. Ron Hubbard
In late 1954, L. Ron Hubbard released a limited manuscript edition of the landmark text, Dianetics 55! While the book is the definitive publication on the communication formula—and virtually all aspects of communication—its issuance also immortalized a Scientology fundamental: Accent on Ability. In testament to its importance, Ron dedicated a full chapter to the subject.
Moreover, improving ability, as contrasted with the "negative gain" of eradicating disabilities, was a recurring point of emphasis throughout much of his lecturing and writing during the period.
And to the fortune of all, on 23 February 1955, ability became the subject of a public lecture. It is a lecture that gained renown through the years as one of the true L. Ron Hubbard Classics: Scientology and Ability.
